Nixon Resigns
Nixon was the 37th President of the United States.  He served from 1969-1974.  Nixon was the only president to resign while in office.  During his resignation speech that he delivered from the oval office, he stated that he was resigning for the good of the country and left the nation to the support of the upcoming president Gerald Ford.  

Elvis Found Dead
Elvis Presley was found dead on August 16, 1977 at his home in Memphis. His body was found in the bathtub.  After trying for hours sadly our beloved Elvis was officially gone only at the age of 42.  It was shown to doctors that Presley had gone into a cardiac arrthamia or cardiac arrest causing Presley’s death.

1972 Munich Olympic Massacre
During the 1972 Olympic Games a group of five Palestinian terrorists came to the Olympic Village they took the lives of two Israeli athletes .  After the German officials decided that ley could not let the terrorists leave with the other hostages, they attempted to rescue the other nine Israeli athletes.  But there attempt failed and all none of the Israeli hostages were killed during a shoot-out.  This horrible day is known as Black September.

Beatles Break Up
When one of the singers Paul McCartney announced that he was leaving the Beatles Band, the rest of the band just crumbled.  The end of the Beatles ended the wonderful creativity of the band in creating all of their albums, like Let It Be.  After their final album was released, they finally cut the deal, resulting in each of the group going their separate ways.
