Test Tube Babies:

Test tube babies are babies that are created in a test tube by taking one sperm cell and one egg celling then combining them. The baby starts to develop inside the test tube, then later implanted into the mother.

Liposuction:

Liposuction is a technique in cosmetic surgery for removing excess fat from under the skin by suction. France started this medical surgery in 1970 and was spread throughout the world by 1980. In liposuction, the surgeon removes the fat in a certain area using metal tubes that are connected into a suction machine.

 Inventions
Cell Phones:

The cell phone was invented by a man named Martin Cooper in 1973 in New York. The prototype handheld phone that was used by Dr. Cooper weighed 2.5 pounds and measured 9 inches long, 5 inches deep, and 1.75 inches wide. Martin Cooper also did the first public phone call on April 3 while standing on sixth avenue in New York near the New York Hilton Hotel. He was calling with a press conference upstairs in the hotel.

VCR's:

The invention of the VCR was initiated by the invention of Audio Cassette players. The first type of VCR was the U-matic, that was developed by Sony Japan during the 1970's. The home VCR systems that we see now were developed by the Philips in 1972. Since large organizations like Philips and Sony work in research teams, an electronic device for recording and playing back video images and sound was created.
